Tasks of Works:
- Water supply for domestic and industry use at discharge Q=38.0m³/s, including 15m³/s for Binh Duong province, 5m³/s for Binh Phuoc province, transferring water to Dau Tieng reservoir to supply water for Tay Ninh at 3.5m³/s, Long An at 4m³/s and Ho Chi Minh City at 10.5m³/s
- Water supply for irrigation of 17,749 hectares of agricultural land
- Creating water resources for 24,818 hectares of irrigation areas
- Supporting for irrigation of 21,000 hectares
- Flood discharge for the lowland of Be River is 14.0m³/s and Saigon River 16.10m³/s.
- Discharging to remove salinity in the Saigon River, supporting the creation of irrigation water resources for about 28,800 hectares along the Saigon River and 32,317 hectares along the Vam Co Dong River.

- Main dam : homogeneous earth dam, height of dam H = 28.5 m
- Flood spillway: Design discharge Q design(0.5%) = 4,200 m³/s,
- Water intake: Q design= 77 m³/s
- Canal system: length L=40,436m, Q design at the beginning of canal =77 m³/s
- Phuoc Hoa hydropower plant with capacity 12.5MW, Minh Tan hydropower plant with capacity 5MW
Total investment amount: 7,022 billion VND( Viet Nam Government; Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Agence Francaise De Developpment (AFD))
- Phase 1: 3,125 billion VND, of which construction cost is 1,927 billion VND
- Phase 2: 3,801 billion VND, of which construction cost is 1,615 billion VND
- The common part for the 2 phases: 96 billion VND
