Objectives and Tasks:
- Exploiting Thạch Khê iron mine with flow rate of Q=6.0m3/s and other industrial zones.
- Irrigation for 32,585 hectares of agricultural land;
- Cultivate 5,991 hectares of aquaculture ( 3,500 hectares of freshwater and 2,491 hectares of brackish water).
- Power generation N = 15 MW.
- Water supply for other industries and domestic use; reduce floods and improve the lowland ecological environment (Q=4.0 m3/s); Develop tourism.

- Diversion tunnel and flood discharge during the construction phase and used as inspection and maintenance corridors during exploitation management; Tunnel diameter D = 7.0m;
- Water intake No. 2: supply irrigation water with design discharge Q design = 8.86 m 3 /s for Huong Son and Vu Quang canals.
