- Water supply for irrigation for 18,858 hectares, of which 4,550 hectares are self-flowing and the remaining are irrigated by gravity. The minimum discharge for lowlands is 23 m³/s.
- Combined power generation with a capacity of 45MW.
- Water supply for industry, domestic use and livestock in the project area; aquaculture development and contribution of environmental improvement

- Deep flushing sluice: Q design = 950 m³/s; n x B x H = 2 x 5 x 3.5 (m)
- Water intake: Q design = 8.76 m³/s including a self-flow gate with sill elevation +65 and a pumping station including 3 submersible pump units, the discharge of each unit at 10,600 m³/h, H = 9.26m.
- Water intake pipeline D3000 is 945m long and opens/closes by downstream cone valve D2200.
