Tasks of Works:
Stabilize agricultural production conditions for 64,164 hectares of project area in Tien Giang – Long An province (limited by Nguyen Tan Thanh Canal, Nguyen Van Tiep Canal, Vam Co Tay River, Tra Canal, Gạo Market canal, Ky Hon Canal and Tien River), including:
- Completely prevent floods and prevent salinity for 7,300 hectares (areas limited by Nguyen Tan Thanh canal, canal No. 1 – Phu Chung – Cho Bung, district road section along Ben Chua canal to Cái Ngang canal, Cái Ngang canal – Hamlet 4 to provincial road 864, provincial road section 864 along Tien river);
- Prevent salinity, direct fresh water, retain fresh water, eliminate acidity, and drain floods for 36,080 hectares (area limited by section of National Highway 1A from Trung Lương to Tân An, Vàm Cỏ Tây River, Tra Canal, Gạo Market canal, National Highway 50 to Lương;
- Improve irrigation, acid drainage, and flood drainage for the project area on National Highway 1A belonging to Ông Đạo canal in charge and keep the remaining areas intact;
- Prevent pollution from the Vành Đai canal from returning to Tân An town;
- Combine the development of waterway and road traffic.

- Dike routes: 02 dike routes with a length of 12,706m; sill elevation +3.00m; surface width B = 4.0m;
- Canal routes: 02 canal routes with a length of 36,609m; Canal bottom width from 10.0 ÷ 16.0m;
- Bridges on the canal: Includes 09 bridges, including 04 bridges of H8 and 05 bridges of H3
- Sluices under the dyke: Includes 21 sluices of open type made of reinforced concrete, water clearing width from 3.0 ÷ 20.0m; Traffic bridge with load capacity HL93;
- Automatic two-way valve gate made of stainless steel
