Tasks of Works: Task of the Dau Tieng reservoir before the Phuoc Hoa reservoir was built
- Raw water supply of 42.9 m³/s for the industrial and domestic use of the provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, and Ho Chi Minh City.
- Regulating water of Saigon River, irrigating 110,867 hectares of agricultural land and supporting 21,000 hectares of Dau Tieng area.
- The discharge contributes to reducing salinity in the lowlands of the Saigon River at 16.1 m3/s, and supports creating irrigation resources for 28,800 hectares along the Saigon River and 32,317 hectares along the Vam Co Dong River.
- Improve the environment and water quality in the lowlands areas of the Saigon River and Vam Co Dong River.
