Tasks of Works

The major work of the South Măng Thít irrigation project together with other projects with the following tasks:

• Saline prevention, retaining fresh water, creating fresh sources, drainage, deacidification, alkaline washing, and land reclamation for 177,792 hectares of natural land, in which 267,000 hectares for farmland. Where Láng Thé sluice directly prevents salinity, creating fresh sources for 26,650 hectares, and drainage for 31,140
• Water supply for domestic use for people area.
• Combine the development of waterway and road traffic and improve the ecological environment of the project area.

• Length of upstream canal of 733m, the length of downstream canal = 903m, width of bottom B bottom = 125m
• Homogeneous earth dam backfilling into water, length of dam L = 200m, maximum height Hmax = 16.5m
