- According to the content of Approval “Decision No. 1929/QD-BNN-TCTL dated August 14, 2012” as follows:
- Component 1: Rehabilitating and Upgrading of the North Nghe An Irrigation System to ensure stable and flexible irrigation for 27,656 hectares of agricultural land, creating a water source for industry of 1.89 m³/s and domestic use of 1.59 m³/s in the area of 4 districts of Do Luong, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh and Quynh Luu; Dredging main drainage canals, reconstructing Dien Thanh sluice to drain and reduce flooding for about 1,920 hectares of low-lying areas in the 2 districts of Yen Thanh and Dien Chau of Nghe An province.
- Component 2: Building the Training Facilities in the field of irrigation under the Vietnam Academy of Water Resources to reach advanced and modern standards on par with countries in the Asian region, in Thach Hoa commune, Thach That district, Hanoi city.

Bara Do Luong Weir

- Bara Do Luong weir: Bweir= 295.5m, crest elevation of free overflow weir +10.50m;
- Sand outlet ; n x B = 2 x 21m; bottom elevation 7.26m;
- Trang Son intake at the beginning of the North main canal: n x B = 3 x 6m; crest elevation +8.70m; Design discharge Q design = 45.56 m³/s;
Dien Thanh sluice: n x Bsluice= 3 x 19 = 57m, bottom elevation -3.00m; crest elevation +3.50m.
Main canal: Length L=56.064 km, Q design at the beginning of canal = 43.89 m³/s
Total investment amount/Construction cost: 5,705 billion VND (Viet Nam government and JICA loan)
