- Exploiting Thạch Khê iron mine with flow Q=6.0m3/s and other industrial parks.
- Irrigation for 32,585 hectares of agricultural land;
- Aquaculture 5,991 hectares (fresh water 3,500 hectares and brackish water 2,491 hectares).
- Power generation N = 15 MW.
- Water supply for other industries and people’s livelihoods; reduce floods and improve the lowland ecological environment (with flow Q=4.0 m3/s); tourism development.

- Diversion tunnel, flood discharge during the construction phase and used as inspection and repair corridors during exploitation management; Tunnel diameter D = 7.0m;
- Water intake No. 2: Irrigation water supply with Design discharge Q design = 8.86 m 3 /s for Huong Son and Vu Quang canals.
