  • Client: Project Management Board of Agriculture and Rural Development projects in Tay Ninh province
  • Location: Tan Chau town and Suoi Day commune, Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province.
  • Objectives and Tasks:
    • To undertake the repair, upgrade various structures of Tha La reservoir to ensure the safe operation of the structure and supply water for approximately 3,670 hectares of agricultural land, 1,500 m³/day and night of industrial water for Quang Ngai plant;
    • To develop a raw water source for Tan Chau water plant with a capacity of 20,000 m³/day, and improve a regional water storage capacity.
    • To contribute to the development of local transportation accessibility.
  • Main technical specifications:
    • Headworks:
      • Main dam: Downstream sloping earthfill dam; crest length approximately 673m, crest elevation ≥ +26.75m. Crest width B = 12 ÷ 20m. Upstream slope m = 2.5 ÷ 3.0; downstream slope m = 1.5 ÷ 2.5, upstream slope protection with reinforced concrete slabs;
      • Spillway: Construction of a new spillway to replace the damaged and deteriorated rubber spillway, practical spillway type with flat gates: Dimension nxBxH = 3x14x4.1m, operated by hydraulic cylinder. Spillway structure made of M30 (28) reinforced concrete; crest elevation +20.5m, followed by a Stilling basin;
      • Bridge: The spillway pier top is arranged with a bridge crossing the spillway, HL93 loading, consisting of 3 spans, bridge deck B = 20m; bottom elevation of the bridge girder +26.0 ÷ +26.2m. Bridge deck structure made of M30 (28) reinforced concrete;
      • Bottom Outlet: Transverse t
    • Canal System:
      • Reinforce both sides of canal slope with M20 (28) reinforced concrete, length L = 3,893m, and dredge the canal for a length of L = 3,978m
      • Thanh Dong drainage canal: Dredge the canal, length approximately L = 4,260m, bottom width B = 1.8 ÷ 2.5m, canal slope m = 1.5. Add 01 road sluice and 06 drainage Repair 01 bottom outlet.
